Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Air Fryer Baked Potatoes
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the russet potatoes under running water, scrubbing them gently to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Using a fork, poke several holes in each potato to allow steam to escape. Drizzle evenly with neutral oil and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  3. Carefully place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for about 30 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. Check potatoes for tenderness by inserting a fork. If they are not tender, continue air frying in 5-minute intervals until soft.
  5. Remove the hot potatoes using tongs. Place them on a cutting board and let rest. Cut a slit down the center of each potato.
  6. Gently press the sides of each potato to open them up. Fluff the insides with a fork and add your favorite toppings.
