Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, toss the thinly sliced flank steak with cornstarch until evenly coated. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Cook your egg noodles or lo mein noodles according to the package instructions, typically around 4-5 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Carefully add the beef, stir-frying for 2-3 minutes until browned and crispy.
  4. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil and reduce the heat slightly. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds.
  5. Toss in the chopped onion, red bell pepper, broccoli florets, and carrot matchsticks. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until vibrant and just tender.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together the low-sodium soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry until smooth. Pour this over the sautéed vegetables and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the beef back into the skillet along with the drained noodles. Toss together for 1-2 minutes until evenly combined.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions.
