  • 4 fillets Salmon skinless for quicker cooking
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil can be swapped with vegetable oil
For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning substitute with oregano or thyme if needed
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning adjust to your heat preference
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt kosher salt recommended
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper freshly ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes optional
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter reduce salt if using salted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic fresh recommended
  • 1/2 cup Chicken or vegetable broth low-sodium recommended
For the Accompaniments
  • 1 cup Frozen peas can substitute with broccoli or green beans
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice fresh is ideal
  • 2 tablespoons Honey maple syrup can be vegan alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Chili oil olive oil can be a milder substitute
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped chives can substitute with green onions or parsley

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with Cajun and Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and butter, then add salmon fillets to sear for about 2 minutes per side.
  3. Lower heat, add butter, then minced garlic; sauté until fragrant. Deglaze with broth and simmer.
  4. Stir in peas, return salmon, drizzle with honey and chili oil, and simmer for another 3 minutes.
  5. Squeeze lemon juice over the salmon, garnish with chives and serve immediately.
