- Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water over high heat. Once bubbling, add your choice of pasta and cook according to package instructions, typically around 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain the pasta and rinse it under cold water.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add cubed chicken and sliced sausage, cooking for about 7-10 minutes or until browned and fully cooked through. Stir occasionally, then remove the meats and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
- Pour in 1 cup of milk or cream, then sprinkle in shredded cheese into the skillet. Stir gently, allowing the cheese to melt and the sauce to thicken for about 3-5 minutes.
