For the Donuts
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Can be swapped for gluten-free flour.

  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon Adjust for more spice.
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda Make sure it's fresh.
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt Can substitute with sea salt.
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk Any non-dairy milk works.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Coconut sugar can be used.
  • 1/2 cup Vegan Butter Coconut oil can be substituted.
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar Lemon juice can be a substitute.
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract Opt for high-quality extract.
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Brown sugar can be used.
  • 1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon Adjust based on taste.
  • 1 pinch Kosher Salt Optional but recommended.

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and kosher salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together unsweetened almond milk, granulated sugar, melted vegan butter, apple cider vinegar, and pure vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture, folding them together gently.
  5. Fill each cavity of the prepared donut pan about two-thirds full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. While warm, roll each donut in a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
