Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the shredded cooked chicken, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir and heat for about 5 minutes until warm.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of cooked pasta, 2 cups of marinara sauce, and half of your cheeses (1 cup grated Parmesan and 1 cup shredded mozzarella). Stir thoroughly.
  4. Fold the sautéed chicken mixture into the pasta and sauce blend. Mix carefully to evenly distribute the chicken.
  5. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour the combined mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the casserole.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
