- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the shredded cooked chicken, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir and heat for about 5 minutes until warm.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of cooked pasta, 2 cups of marinara sauce, and half of your cheeses (1 cup grated Parmesan and 1 cup shredded mozzarella). Stir thoroughly.
- Fold the sautéed chicken mixture into the pasta and sauce blend. Mix carefully to evenly distribute the chicken.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour the combined mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the casserole.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
