Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. In another bowl, whisk together 2¼ cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and ½ teaspoon salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until no flour streaks remain.
  3. Fold in 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup caramel bits until evenly distributed.
  4. Optional: Chill the dough for about 30 minutes for chewier cookies.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Drop rounded portions of dough onto lined baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  6. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
