  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper, coarsely ground

  • 4 slices Yellow American Cheese deli-quality
For the Buns
  • 2 Brioche Buns, split and buttered
For the Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Burger Sauce blend of mayo, mustard, and pickles

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Meat: Divide the ice-cold ground beef into four equal portions, roll them into loose balls, and chill them in the refrigerator.
  2. Heat Skillet: Preheat your cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until it starts to lightly smoke.
  3. Sear Patties: Place the chilled beef balls into the hot skillet and press each ball down firmly to create a thin patty.
  4. Season & Cook: Sprinkle kosher salt and black pepper over the patties and allow them to sear undisturbed for about 2 minutes.
  5. Melt Cheese: Flip the patties, add a slice of cheese on each, and cover the skillet for about 30 seconds to melt the cheese.
  6. Assemble Burger: Place the cheesy patties on the buttered brioche buns, drizzle with burger sauce, and cap with the top bun.
