  • 1 tsp Paprika Smoked paprika adds extra flavor
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt Use table salt as a substitute in half the amount
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder Can be replaced with onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder Swap for garlic powder if needed
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme Essential for Creole flavor
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano Essential for Creole flavor
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper Omit for milder wings

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking tray with foil and parchment paper.
  2. Combine 1/2 cup melted butter with 2-3 minced garlic cloves in a small bowl.
  3. Mix 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp kosher salt, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp dried thyme, 1/2 tsp dried oregano, and 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper in a bowl.
  4. Add chicken wings to a mixing bowl and toss with half the seasoning mix.
  5. Pour the garlic butter mixture over wings and toss to coat.
  6. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the tray and bake for 45-50 minutes.
  7. Baste wings with tray juices at the 30 and 40-minute marks.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool before serving. Top with fresh herbs if desired.
