Preparation Steps
- Press the firm tofu between layers of paper towels for about 15-20 minutes to absorb excess moisture.

- Toss cubed tofu with cornstarch in a mixing bowl until evenly coated.
- Let the coated tofu sit for about 5 minutes.
- Heat about 1/4 cup of neutral oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the tofu cubes for about 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Combine sweet soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a separate bowl.
- Add the fried tofu to the pan with the prepared glaze and toss to coat.
- Let the mixture cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let the glazed tofu rest on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with optional toppings.
