Step-by-Step Instructions for Crab Stuffed Avocado
  1. Preheat your oven's broiler to high.
  2. Cut two ripe avocados in half and gently remove the pits. Mash the flesh of two halves in a mixing bowl until slightly creamy but still chunky.
  3. Add mayonnaise and lemon juice to the mashed avocado and stir until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in lump crabmeat, cilantro, chives, serrano pepper, capers, and black pepper.
  5. Spoon the crab filling into the reserved avocado halves.
  6. Arrange stuffed avocados on a baking pan, sprinkle cheese and paprika on top.
  7. Broil the avocados for 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with remaining cilantro and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
