- Start by washing and hulling 1 cup of fresh strawberries. Puree until smooth and reserve some for topping.
- In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of milk, 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons of melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and fold in the strawberry puree gently.
- Preheat your waffle iron and grease it lightly with cooking spray or melted butter.
- Pour batter onto the heated surface of the waffle iron and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove the waffles and top with reserved strawberries, whipped cream, or strawberry sauce.
