  • 1 cup chocolate chips for melting
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil can substitute with vegetable oil
  • 1 gel food coloring ensure gel-based for consistency

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then stir in 1 cup each of granulated and brown sugar.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add in 4 eggs, one at a time, with 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into the wet mixture, folding gently to combine.
  5. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Let the brownies cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips with 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  9. Spread the melted chocolate mixture over the cooled brownies and drizzle with gel food coloring.
  10. Allow to set for 15–20 minutes, then slice into squares and serve.
