Method
 

  1. Begin by placing 4-5 fresh mint leaves into a cocktail shaker. Gently pull the leaves with your fingers to release their aromatic oils.
  2. Next, add in freshly squeezed lemon juice and simple syrup to the shaker with the muddled mint. Gently press the mixture for about 15 seconds.
  3. Pour in 2 ounces of gin and 1 ounce of elderflower liqueur. Fill the shaker with ice cubes about ¾ full.
  4. Seal your cocktail shaker tightly and shake it vigorously for about 20 seconds.
  5. Prepare a rocks glass filled with fresh ice cubes. Strain the cocktail mixture over the ice.
  6. Top your cocktail with club soda and gently stir to combine.
  7. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lemon before serving.
