Steps to Cook
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Add the sliced onion and stir to coat. Cook for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart. Cook for 5–7 minutes until browned.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Mix in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and toast hamburger buns on a baking sheet for 5–7 minutes.
- Assemble by scooping beef mixture into each bun and topping with Swiss cheese.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
