Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Whisk until evenly distributed without lumps.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and chopped parsley into dry mixture until well incorporated.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, water, olive oil, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour wet ingredients into dry mixture, stirring gently until a smooth batter forms. Adjust consistency with water if needed.
  5. Place a nonstick skillet over medium heat with a blend of butter and olive oil until melted.
  6. Pour a ladleful of batter into the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove from skillet and brush with garlic butter. Stack and cover with a towel to keep warm.
