For the Gravy
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour Gluten-free flour can be used.
  • 10.5 ounces Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup Alternative soups can be used.
  • 1 cup Milk Can substitute with broth for flavor.

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled saltine crackers, 1 cup of milk, Italian herbs, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne (if using), and salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Form the mixture into 8 patties, about ½ inch thick.
  4. Brown the patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Transfer the browned patties to the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of mushroom soup and 1 cup of milk, then pour over the patties.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
