For Basting
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce Choose your favorite brand or make a homemade version.

Equipment

  • Instant Pot
  • Baking Sheet
  • Wire rack

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine kosher salt, brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, celery seed, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and ground black pepper. Mix well until evenly blended.
  2. Generously rub the spice mix onto both sides of the baby back ribs. Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Remove ribs from refrigerator and unwrap. Cut the racks into manageable sections, usually four pieces each.
  4. Pour the broth into the Instant Pot. Arrange the rib sections upright in the pot. Lock the lid and set to high pressure for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  6. Once cooking time is complete, carefully perform a quick release of the pressure. Remove the ribs gently.
  7. Transfer the ribs onto the prepared wire rack. Brush a generous layer of barbecue sauce over both sides.
  8. Place the baking sheet with the ribs in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  9. Once baked to perfection, remove the ribs from the oven. Serve them warm with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
