Prepare the Pie Crust
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out your pie crust into a 9-inch deep dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the crust to cool completely on a wire rack.
Make the Caramel Sauce
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally until dissolved and golden brown.
- Gradually pour in heavy cream, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat and let cool.
Slice the Bananas
- Peel and slice bananas into thin rounds. Add lemon juice to prevent browning.
Assemble the Layers
- Begin by placing a layer of banana slices at the bottom of the pie crust. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the bananas.
- Spoon in a layer of pudding and smooth out gently with a spatula.
Repeat the Layering
- Add another layer of banana slices and the remaining caramel sauce. Finish with another layer of pudding.
Chill and Serve
- Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve chilled, optionally topped with extra caramel sauce or whipped cream.
