  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped; swap with cilantro if desired.
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander Fresh is preferred.

For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup Plain Yogurt Coconut yogurt can be used for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed.
  • 1-2 cloves Additional Garlic Minced for flavor.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Wet your hands slightly and form the mixture into oval-shaped patties, approximately 10-12 in total.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (200–220°C / 400–425°F) and lightly oil the grates.
  4. Place the kofta on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden-brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 75°C / 165°F).
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the plain yogurt, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a sprinkle of salt. Stir and adjust seasoning.
  6. Remove the kofta from the grill, let them rest briefly, and serve with the garlic yogurt sauce and optional garnishes.
