Ingredients
  

For the Fish
  • 1 pound Thick-Cut Cod Can substitute with haddock or tilapia
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Can be replaced with avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Omit for a dairy-free version
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder Swap with cayenne for more heat
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika Smoked paprika for more intensity
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin Crucial for authentic flavor

Method
 

Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix until evenly blended and rub it generously on both sides of the cod.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add unsalted butter and olive oil. When sizzling, gently place the fish in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until charred and flaky.
  3. Mix together shredded cabbage, lime juice, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined for the slaw.
  4. Whisk together low-fat mayonnaise, lime juice, sriracha, a pinch of salt, and sugar in a bowl until smooth for the sriracha mayo.
  5. Assemble tacos with tortillas, adding the fish, cilantro slaw, and sriracha mayo. Enjoy immediately.
