Ingredients
  

For the Kofta
  • 1 lb Ground Chicken or ground turkey
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley or cilantro
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil for grilling
For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup Plain Yogurt or coconut yogurt for dairy-free
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice fresh
  • 1 clove Minced Garlic optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Gently mix the chicken mixture until evenly distributed.
  3. Form the kofta by rolling the mixture into 10-12 oval-shaped patties.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly brush the grates with olive oil.
  5. Place the kofta onto the preheated grill and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Optionally mix in minced garlic.
  7. Transfer cooked kofta to a platter, serve warm with garlic yogurt sauce.
