  • 1 cup Giardiniera drained well

  • 2 tablespoons Capers omit if unavailable
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh is best
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning can use a homemade blend
  • 1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil or substitute with high-quality olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar or substitute with apple cider or white vinegar
For the Sliders
  • 12 rolls Hawaiian Sweet Rolls pull-apart style
  • 8 oz Capicola or Ham thinly sliced
  • 8 oz Genoa Salami omit if not preferred
  • 8 oz Mortadella can swap with turkey or chicken deli meat
  • 12 slices Provolone Cheese or use mozzarella or another mild cheese
For Topping
  • 4 tablespoons Butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds omit if desired
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano or use fresh oregano

Step-by-Step Instructions for Loaded Muffaletta Hawaiian Roll Sliders
  1. Prepare the Olive Salad by combining all olives, giardiniera, pepperoncinis, capers, garlic, and Italian seasoning in a food processor. Pulse until chunky, then blend in olive oil and vinegar.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally and spread half of the olive salad over the bottom half on the baking sheet.
  4. Layer the capicola, salami, and mortadella over the olive salad, followed by provolone cheese.
  5. Bake the assembled slider base for 15-16 minutes until the cheese melts.
  6. Spread the remaining olive salad over the melted cheese and press the top half of the rolls down. Brush with butter and add toppings if desired.
