Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together on medium speed for about 2–3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the butterscotch chips and toffee bits gently with a spatula.
- Transfer the dough into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly and pressing it down into the corners.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and cool completely in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes
For the best results, cool completely before cutting to avoid crumbling. Consider using a sharp knife dipped in hot water for clean cuts.
