- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and any dried herbs.
- Fold in your choice of shredded cheese to the dry mixture.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and egg.
- Carefully pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry mix and gently fold until just combined.
- Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and pour the batter into it, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once baked, cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
