  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Can be omitted or replaced with fresh diced onion
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme Substitute with oregano or Italian seasoning if needed

  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese Can be omitted for vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes For a kick of heat

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Remove any wilted leaves from the cabbage and slice it into ¾-inch thick rounds, keeping the core intact.
  3. In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Apply the seasoning mix generously to both sides of each cabbage steak.
  5. Roast in the oven for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until edges are golden brown and crispy.
  6. For the air fryer, preheat to 375°F (190°C) and air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving, optionally topping with Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or parsley.
