Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- Remove any wilted leaves from the cabbage and slice it into ¾-inch thick rounds, keeping the core intact.
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Apply the seasoning mix generously to both sides of each cabbage steak.
- Roast in the oven for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until edges are golden brown and crispy.
- For the air fryer, preheat to 375°F (190°C) and air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving, optionally topping with Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or parsley.
