  • 1 cup Red Onion Can use green onions for a milder taste.
  • 1 medium Jalapeno Remove seeds for milder heat.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Preferably with herbs.
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt Can substitute with sour cream.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Can use fresh garlic for more intensity.
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Regular paprika works as a replacement.
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse Sea Salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese Any hard cheese can be a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce Optional; omit for gluten-free.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the cucumbers into ½ cm (¼") thick slices, avoiding peeling for added crunch.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced cucumbers, diced red onions, and chopped jalapenos. Ensure jalapenos are deseeded if you want milder heat.
  3. Add cream cheese, Greek yogurt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, coarse sea salt, and sharp cheddar cheese. Optionally drizzle with soy sauce.
  4. Gently toss the salad with a spatula or salad tongs until all ingredients are coated.
  5. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with sesame seeds.
  6. Cover the salad and chill in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes before serving.
