  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries Choose ripe, bright red strawberries.
  • 4 cups cold water Use pre-chilled for best results.
  • 4 cups whole milk Can be substituted with plant-based milk.
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk Adjust according to sweetness preference.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Hull 2 pounds of fresh strawberries and blend with 1 cup of cold water until smooth.
  2. Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl or pitcher.
  3. Combine the strained strawberry liquid with 4 cups of whole milk and desired amount of sweetened condensed milk.
  4. Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water and stir well.
  5. Optionally, finely chop the reserved 1/2 pound of hulled strawberries and fold into the mixture.
  6. Chill the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  7. Serve over ice-filled glasses.
