Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Caramelize Onions: Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced yellow onions and fresh thyme. Cook for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until caramelized. Remove thyme and set aside.
  2. Cook Bacon: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lay bacon strips on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Transfer to paper towels.
  3. Make A1 Mayo: Whisk together mayonnaise, A1 steak sauce, and pepper in a small bowl until smooth. Refrigerate until needed.
  4. Prepare Patties: Combine ground beef with beef bouillon and herbs. Form into 12 balls. Cook in a heated skillet with butter, smashing into patties. Cook for 2 minutes on each side until browned.
