Step-by-Step Instructions for Juicy Grilled Beef Kafta Kebabs
  1. Begin by placing the quartered medium yellow onion and fresh parsley in a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef with the finely-chopped onion-parsley mixture. Sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, seven spice blend, and cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. With wet hands, mold the spiced meat mixture around soaked skewers into approximately 1 to 1.5-inch thick cylinders.
  4. Preheat your gas or charcoal grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F to 450°F. Lightly brush the grill grates with oil.
  5. Place the shaped kafta kebabs on the hot grill, leaving space between each one. Grill for about 4 minutes on one side, then flip them over and grill for another 4 minutes.
  6. Once grilled, let the kafta kebabs rest for a couple of minutes before serving hot on a platter with fresh pita, hummus, or salad.

Soak wooden skewers for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning and to help the kebabs hold together. Allow the grilled kafta kebabs to rest for a few minutes before serving to maximize flavor.
