Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 1 packet Instant yeast like Fleischmann's RapidRise
  • 1 cup Milk warmed to 110°F
  • 1/4 cup Sugar can reduce for less sweetness
  • 1/2 cup Butter unsalted, preferably Kerrygold
  • 1 large Egg room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour preferably King Arthur
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
For the Cherry Filling
  • 1 cup Cherry filling store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
For the Icing
  • 1 cup Icing sugar sifted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Method
 

Dough Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warmed milk, instant yeast, and softened butter. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add a room-temperature egg and sugar, mix thoroughly. Stir in salt and gradually add flour to form a shaggy dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 1-2 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a bowl, cover, and let rise for 20 minutes.
Filling and Shaping
  1. Prepare cherry filling by mixing it with cornstarch in a bowl.
  2. Roll the risen dough into a 16x12 inch rectangle. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the surface and spread cherry filling. Roll tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
Final Rising and Baking
  1. Place cut rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Bake for 25-45 minutes until golden brown.
Glazing
  1. Whisk together icing sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls once baked.
