Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Blend until creamy and smooth.
  2. Take one wonton wrapper, scoop a small amount of the cream cheese filling into the center, moisten edges with water, and fold diagonally to seal.
  3. Heat canola oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat to 350°F.
  4. Carefully add assembled wontons to hot oil and fry for 45 seconds to 1 minute until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  5. For baking, preheat oven to 375°F, place wontons on a greased baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes until crispy and golden.
  6. Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with chocolate sauce.
