Ingredients
  

For the Sandwiches
  • 12 slices Thin White Bread Can substitute with whole wheat
  • 12 slices Corned Beef Pastrami or turkey make good substitutes
  • 6 slices Muenster Cheese Cheddar or Swiss can also be used
For the Mustard Spread
  • 1/2 cup Salted Butter Softened
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard Can use spicy brown mustard for a bolder flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow Mustard Can substitute with honey mustard
  • 1/4 cup Cornichons Minced dill pickle can be used if cornichons are unavailable

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened salted butter, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, and finely chopped cornichons. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
  2. Using a butter knife, spread the mustard mixture on one side of each slice of bread evenly.
  3. Place a slice of Muenster cheese on top of the mustard-coated side of one of the bread slices.
  4. Layer a slice of corned beef on top of the Muenster cheese.
  5. Take a second slice of bread and place it on top of the corned beef, mustard-side down.
  6. Trim the crusts and cut each sandwich in half diagonally or into thirds.
  7. Arrange the sandwiches on a serving tray and pair with black tea.
