Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a rapid boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, add the fresh tortellini and cook according to package instructions for about 4-5 minutes.
  3. With 2 minutes left, add the broccoli florets to the pot.
  4. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the tortellini and broccoli.
  5. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  6. Add the lemon juice, zest, and reserved pasta water to the skillet, allow to bubble for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Toss the tortellini and broccoli in the skillet, add Parmesan, and mix thoroughly.
