Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse 2 cups of fresh dandelion petals under cool running water.
  2. Combine dandelion petals with 4 cups of water in a pot and boil for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture through a sieve into a bowl, extracting liquid.
  4. Mix dandelion liquid with 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1 box of pectin; bring to a boil.
  5. Add 5 cups of sugar, stir until dissolved, and boil for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour the jelly into sterilized jars, seal, and process in a boiling water bath for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Let the jars cool, then check the seals by pressing the center of each lid.
